Volunteer Opportunities


Terminal Cleaning Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated volunteer to assist with terminal cleaning in the patient bathroom, lab, and ultrasound room. This role requires approximately 30 minutes per shift and is essential in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.

Duties include:
  • Cleaning the toilet and sinks
  • Mopping floors in all three rooms
  • Wiping handrails, door knobs, and walls
  • Cleaning countertops and lab/ultrasound chairs
  • Emptying trash cans in all three areas

Shift Times Needed:
(after 3 or 4 pm) – Tuesday/ Wednesday
(after 1 pm ) on Monday and Friday
(after 730 pm) on Thursday

Requirements:
  • Must wear gloves and eye protection (mask and gown optional)
  • Should not have allergies or sensitivities to chemical fumes

Nurse

Administer pregnancy tests and review medical forms with client. Must hold a current CMA,RN, NP or PA license valid for North Carolina. SPCC will provide medical malpractice insurance for currently licensed CMAs, RNs, & NPs. PAs must have permission from their supervising physician to provide charity care under their own medical malpractice insurance.

Time commitment: 1-2 times per month for 2-3 hours each time.

 

Resource Coach 

Resource Coach work directly with clients during their first appointment. Responsibilities include helping to educate clients about their options and available resources. Training is mandatory and will be provided. The time commitment involves an initial two-day, in-person training class. After that, you will need to volunteer once a week for a four-hour block of time.

Time Commitment: One day a week for 4hrs

Donation Sorter

Help to process incoming donations and ensure our clients have a great shopping experience. Training providied.
Time commitment: Varies

Shopping Room Assistant

The Shopping Room Assistant supports clients in our Hope Program as they shop in our baby boutique. This compassionate team member helps moms choose items for their little ones, ensures clients stay within their allotted quantities, and offers a warm, friendly presence, including holding babies while moms shop when appropriate.

Time Commitment: We prefer a once-a-week commitment for at least 2 hours, but we are happy to be flexible.
Training: Minimal training required.

Event Volunteers

Represent SPCC at community events (booth/table) answering questions and handing out materials.

Time commitment: Varies

Fundraising Help

Represent SPCC at community events (booth/table) answering questions and handing out materials.
Time commitment: Varies

Church Community Champion

Coordinate community outreach opportunities in your church or community group, possibly including but not limited to: organizing a Baby Bottle Campaign; including SPCC in local missions events, baby showers, Bring It In boxes and/or other creative ways to get your community involved; as well as championing SPCC and life affirming options to your church or community group’s leadership team.

Time commitment: Varies according to what your church and/or community group allows and according to what activities you orchestrate within your church and/or community group

Professional Services

Any professional services you wish to volunteer. Examples include, but are not limited to:
  • Photography
  • Building/Contracting
  • Painting
  • Legal Work
  • Accounting
  • Professional fundraiser
  • Grant writer
